Two types of business owners are emerging from this crisis: Sharks and Jets.
Sharks are coming up with new offers on how to survive and thrive in this madness.
Is the product any good? Who cares! But it’ll sell…
The Jets are different.
The Jets know people are hurting. And they know their products — which they poured their blood, sweat, and tears into — can help these people.
They see the opportunity… but they don’t want to be opportunistic. Because to them, it’s not about maximizing sales. It’s about helping people through this dark time.
Now, when you’re a Jet, you’re a Jet all the way. From your first cigarette to your last dying day.
The problem for Jets though is that Sharks gobble up a lot of attention.
Sharks are often good marketers (they have to be because their products suck.) And they use fear-based marketing to push people’s buttons and generate sales.
The Jets don’t do that. It feels icky. And there’s enough doom and gloom out there as it is.
So what can you, fellow Jet, do to stand out, keep sales flowing, and save people from Shark attacks during all this craziness?
Use the heavy artillery you have that the Sharks don’t possess: Success stories.
Sharks can’t tell great success stories because, again, their products suck.
But that’s not the case with you.
You can tell stories that inspire hope.
Stories that prove beyond a shadow of doubt things can get better for the people in your audience.
Stories that keep readers engaged by teaching them valuable lessons.
If you want to tell stories that teach, inspire, and move people to buy, my Hero’s Journey Case Studies do exactly that. You can learn about them from my book or email me at [email protected] if you want my help creating them.
People today need hope. They need positivity. They need to know help is out there.
They are craving stories like the ones your customers have.
You gonna let the Sharks eat up their attention with fear-based bullshit?
Or you going to let them see how awesome life can be with your help?
Remember, when you’re a Jet, you’re the top cat in town.
You’re the gold medal kid with the heavyweight crown.
So don’t be afraid to show people what you’ve done 🙂
