Last January, I went to a copywriting workshop in Austin Texas.
One of the speakers was badass marketer Justin Goff. He talked about a company that contacted him because they were in trouble.
The company was a men’s dating business. They sold a 2-3 month long Bootcamp where they taught guys how to attract women.
The program cost tens of thousands of dollars. Plus, required guys spend weeks living with them — which is quite the ask.
They did a launch but few people joined.
So they turned to Justin for help.
He didn’t have them do a complicated segmentation funnel.
Or spend months creating “product launch content” videos.
Nope, instead, they sent their list case studies for 8-days — stories of people who made dramatic improvement.
Real “super nerd to uber cool guy women love” kind of transformations.
(From Steve Urkel to Stefon Urquelle in 3 easy steps!)
Then, they revamped the sales video.
After 8 days of case studies, they opened cart and the sales came pouring in.
That’s it. Case studies, a sales page, and a few sales emails. And the launch made multiple 6-figures (probably 7+ but I forgot and would rather be conservative) and gave this business a second life.
Nowadays, people see the 3-part video series and know a pitch is coming.
Everyone’s doing it.
And they are a stressful pain-in-the-butt to put together. (I know, I’ve worked on dozens of 6 and 7-figure launches like this.)
If you want to be different, and build anticipation by sending out fun, insightful stories that PROVE how amazing your product is, then a case study launch is for you.
And ff you want those case studies to be magically done for you, shoot me an email at [email protected] with subject “Case study launch.” I may be able to take care of all the legwork. So you can just chill until the sales come in.
