I recently re-discovered an old marketing trick that helps you write compelling emails, sales pages and copy pretty quick
It’s a simple formula: “X Reasons why ___”
For example, you list “7 reasons why now is the perfect time to start an online business”.
Or “13 reasons why the Keto diet is the fastest way to lose weight”
It’s an easy way to bullet out all the benefits of your product, so you get your message across clearly.
It also helps you hook different people. Because some may want to start an online business because of the freedom to work from anywhere. For others, it’s about making a bigger impact. Listing all the reasons/benefits let’s people scroll through and find the one (or several) that excites them.
Now if you want to kick this up to the next level, be sure to back up each point with hard proof.
For example, if you’re saying why now is the best time to start an online business, including data for all the jobs people lost during the coronavirus. Then talk about how you get better job security by having your own biz.
Or if you want to highlight how starting a business lets you control your schedule, share quotes, or a story from a customer of yours who went from working nonstop to having the freedom to take their kids to the park in the middle of a Monday afternoon.
I just did an email like that for a client. It was 7 reasons why people should become a Life Coach. Each point was backed up with a quote or story from a customer that showed how awesome becoming a Life Coach was. We were able to get the benefits across without muddling the message and proving every single one of our points — so it didn’t come off as empty hype.
Best part? This email, and the others in this launch, were a breeze to create. Because we were implementing the Buyer Multiplier System.
